Verdius was founded on more than four decades of executive experience in infrastructure, engineering, concessions and new business development.

Experience spanning engineering and construction through the structuring, implementation and operation of concessions, including leadership of a single operation serving 3.5 million people and management of an investment portfolio of R$10 billion.

Before founding Verdius Infraestratégia, Luiz Fernando Fabbriani built his career inside the very operations he now advises — not observing them from the outside.

He served in executive leadership roles in major water and sanitation concessions, led the development of strategic intelligence initiatives for technology platforms in the sector, and drove management professionalization programs across critical infrastructure service operations.


This hands-on experience shaped the thinking behind Verdius' methodology today: a focused set of indicators, faster decisions, disciplined management routines and measurable value creation — rather than lengthy reports that never reach the operation.



Today, at the helm of Verdius, Fabbriani is directly involved in leading programs such as the Value Performance Office (VPO) — coordinating executive committees, technical validation and institutional engagement with CEOs and Boards — as well as structuring leadership development programs for operational teams, including initiatives delivered to companies providing services related to the water and sanitation sector.

Academic Background

In 2017, Fabbriani completed the International Professional Master's Program in Urban and Environmental Engineering at PUC-Rio, in partnership with the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany.

Throughout his career, he earned two MBAs: the IAG Master, focused on Corporate Finance, from PUC-Rio in 1997, and an Executive MBA focused on Business Administration from COPPEAD/UFRJ in 2004.

While working for multinational companies CH2M HILL and AECOM Brazil, he gained international exposure within U.S.-based organizations and completed Program Management training and an intensive Executive English program in Denver, Colorado, USA, in 2011 and 2012.
